Session types

Create and maintain the types of sessions you offer to your customers.

Session types introduction

For each session that is scheduled a session type needs to selected. Members will be able to see the session type and color in their app, so they can easily find the session they are interested in.

Session types can also be used to limit access to sessions (session types can be included/ excluded) in a subscription, see Subscription settings for more details →.

Add/ change session type

Options in the Session types section on the “Settings” page:

  • Add a Session type by clicking on the “Plus” icon
  • Change a Session type by clicking on the “Pencil” icon
  • Remove a Session type by clicking on the “Trashcan” icon

Adding or changing a session type will open a dialog where you can:

  • Specify the name of the session type
  • Select the color, you have the option to:
    • Enter the hex code of the color directly, or
    • Select a base color with the outer ring and fine tuning it with the middle square

Do you have a specific color, but you don’t have the hex code?

  • If you know the color in a different color notation (such as rgb), convert it to hex with a color converter →
  • If you only have an image, use an application that contains a ‘color picker’, such as Microsoft PowerPoint to obtain the color code

The look and feel of your app is heavily dependent on the colors you use for the session types. By aligning these colors with the highlight and lowlight colors in a good looking ‘color scheme’ your app will look much better (also see App branding settings →).

Need inspiration for colors that complement each other nicely? A great way to get suggestions is to use My Color Space →

Deleting a session type

Some considerations for deleting session types.

  • Session types are often part of (some) of the subscriptions of your members and are used to see these session types in their calendar
  • Once a session type is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Are you sure you don’t need it anymore?

Session credit settings

Normally when members signout for a session they will receive back the session credit, so they can sign up for another session. However, you may want to set a time limit to ensure members can’t sign out close to the start of a session. Using the toggle above the session type list it is possible to set up this for your business. Read the detailed instructions on the dialog screen to choose what works best in your case.
